Pets are popping up in all sorts of inappropriate places lately. Actually, it seems that people are putting pets in all sorts of inappropriate places lately. Here’s a few of those stories with happy endings!

A cat, nicknamed Postina, was found in Boston mailbox.

A little boy (who clearly needs to learn a thing or two about hygiene) accidentally flushed his puppy down the toilet while trying to bathe him.

Lucky, a truly lucky cat, survived a 26-story fall after crawling out a window.

Watch out, Ruppy, you aren’t the only glowing animal on the block! Japanese researchers have genetically engineered monkeys whose hair roots, skin and blood glow green under a special light, and who have passed on their traits to their offspring, the first time this has been achieved in a primate. Apparently, this is a big breakthrough in science, but it also sounds like a breakthrough in cuteness. I mean tiny glowing baby monkeys?

Zookeeper Jacquie Randall of the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Canada is fostering a baby kangaroo named Ruby. She deserves a Mother of the Year award (or at least Zookeeper of the Year) because she’s also fostered a squirrel monkey and an reindeer! Think you can handle the job of foster mom? Randall’s boss explains, “It’s going to play hell with your social life, you don’t get any time off, and, by the way, it starts in five minutes.”
